Our take

The Protone Icon is the pro-peloton favourite for a reason: it strikes a fine balance between aero and cooling, and the leather-trimmed strap and plush pads make it one of the most comfortable helmets you can buy. It uses Kask's own WG11 test rather than a MIPS liner, which some riders prefer and some don't — but on comfort and finish it's a standout.
